A multimedia provider system comprises servers (4A, 5B, 6C) adapted to distribute multimedia content over the Internet (7), a conversion server (1) adapted to receive the multimedia content and send it out of the Internet (7), and a terminal (2) adapted to receive the multimedia content and supply it to a user. The conversion server (1) converts the markup language received from the servers (4A, 5B, 6C) and the multimedia content into a form suitable for the communication with the terminal (2) before sending it to the terminal (2). The terminal (2) displays the multimedia content according to the markup language received from the conversion server (1).
