<p>The feed rate of the fusible electrode wire is varied to control the welding voltage. A series of static control characteristics relating the welding voltage to the wire feed rate are established for a given operating point. Specifically the welding current and voltage, and the wire feed rate are interdependent as a function of the length of wire feed.</p> |
