<p>Two cylindrical bodies partic. tubes which are to be connected at any angle by oxygen cutting, welding and tracing means are accurately set up by apparatus comprising a plotter-feeler which permits direct plotting by points the trace of one tubes intersection with another to which it is to be assembled, and which must be cut in accordance with the trace to permit their assembly. An adjustable pattern onto which the measurements given by the plotter-feeler are referred to give a homothetic curve of the curve required on the second tube, and a feeler, e.g. a scribe connected to the tool for machining the second tube follows the feeler totransfer the curve plotted on the first tube, to the second.</p> |
