PURPOSE: A method of extracting and searching characteristics of 3D video data using modified Zernike moments and a device thereof are provided to extract characteristics of video data such as color, shape, texture and motion effectively and to search the characteristics quickly and effectively. CONSTITUTION: In the method of extracting characteristics of 3D video data using modified Zernike memements, in step (S1), a discrete fourier transform(DFT) is conducted along the angle axial of input video data. In step (S2), the Zernike moment absolute value is obtained through orthogonal transformation along the distance axis. Through this method, the texture characteristic of the video data can be extracted. DFT divides each frequency plane uniformly. The Zernike moments absolute value is constant regardless of rotation. |
