PURPOSE: A method for supporting an application program of a digital broadcasting receiver is provided to execute a game application in a set-top box by using a personal computer memory card international association(PCMCIA)-typed game application. CONSTITUTION: A session is opened and an own resource is registrated in a resource manager of a host. The host updates a resource list in accordance with a resource registrated by a game module. The game module opens the session with respect to a download resource of a host for downloading a game application of the game module. A file transmission between the game module and the host exchanges a digital storage media-command and control(DSM-CC) message as a starting of a new game, a restarting of a game and a help sentence using a DSM-CC user-network. The DSM-CC method performs a user verification in the host and the game module through a negotiation for transmitting the game application. After the user verification, the host requests a start of transmission of a game program. The game module transmits at least one data block in accordance with the request. The transmitted data block is sensed in the host. The host becomes a DSM-CC client, the game module becomes a download server. |
