PURPOSE: To produce a physiologically active substance which has medicinal effects on the patients of immunological diseases, cancers, AIDS, hepatitis, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases and prevents and controls free radical oxidation and hepatotoxic actions by activating the germination of red Ganoderma lucidum spores. CONSTITUTION: The germination-activating method of the first step includes a process for immersing the spores in a solution to induce the germination and then placing the germinated spores in a culture vessel to synthesize the physiologically active substance and soften the cell walls of the spores. The cell wall breaking method of the second step comprises treating the epispores of the cell wall-broken Ganoderma lucidum spores with a cell wall-breaking enzyme and/or a mechanical power. The physiologically active substance- extracting method of the final step comprises drying the cell wall-broken product of the germination-activated spore at a low temperature and then extracting the dried product.
