REACTOR FOR CATALYTIC GAS PHASE OXIDATION

PURPOSE: A Reactor for catalytic gas phase oxidation is provided, which has reaction tubes not supported by a donut type baffle plate. CONSTITUTION: The temperature distribution of a heating medium in the reactor is allayed and the occurrence of hot spots is repressed. In a shell-and-tube type reactor with donut type(202) and disc type baffle plates(203), reaction tubes(204) are disposed even in the holes formed in the donut type baffle plates(202) and an empty space devoid of a configuration of the reaction tubes is formed at the center of the shell.
