PURPOSE: A gauge wire for mounting a suspension bridge cable and a manufacturing device thereof are provided to easily manufacture a gauge wire according to various kinds and conditions for precisely and speedily mount a cable of a suspension bridge. CONSTITUTION: A device for manufacturing a gauge wire for mounting a suspension bridge cable includes a bed frame(15) uprightly attached with a roller(7) for promoting the movement of the wire and a post(15A) mounted with a pay-off reel(1) for releasing a wire on a top surface, the wire(5) and a steel tape measure(6) for displaying scales on the wire passing through the roller, a weight(2) for applying a load to the tape measure and the wire, input/output holders(4A,4B,3A,3B) for fixing the tape measure and the wire, a driving capstan(11) for pulling the wire, road cells(9,8) and indicators(13,12) for applying and displaying the load applied to the tape measure and the wire, and a coiler(14) for winding a manufactured gauge wire.
