PURPOSE: An outside mirror of a vehicle confirms the identification of an accident and a vehicle due to a dead angle portion by reducing the portion to minimum, thereby preventing an accident due to a night running. CONSTITUTION: An elliptical protrusion(2) and a semicircular protrusion(3) are formed on the upper portion and the lower portion of a mirror surface(1). A convex lens(4) having a curvature of 100m/m or 80m/m is formed on the outside of the mirror surface(1) or the side of the semicircular protrusion(3). Thus, a matter on the rear side of a vehicle is widely projected without making any dead angle. Further, in a night running, the location of the vehicle is clearly confirmed by a fluorescent reflecting paint layer(E) formed on the outer periphery of an outer mirror outer case(5). Furthermore, a pedestrian discerns the vehicle stopped or parked, thereby helping the safe driving of the vehicle.
