<p>1312499 Laminated sheeting P MADOU 17 Dec 1970 [13 July 1970] 59963/70 Heading B5N A fire-resistant laminated sheeting consists of (1) an aluminium sheet 1, (2) a sheet 2 of fireresistant kraft paper, (3) a synthetic fire resistant bonding agent bonding the aluminium sheet and the kraft paper sheet to each other, (4) a metallic reinforcing grating 3, e.g. of galvanized steel rods, (5) a sheet 4 of asbestos fibres, (6) a synthetic fire-resistant bonding agent bonding the kraft paper sheet and the asbestos sheet to each other, with the bonding agent passing through the meshes defined by the grating, (7) a vinyl resin film 5 and (8) a synthetic fireresistant bonding agent bonding the asbestos sheet and the vinyl film to each other. The bonding agent may be an epoxy resin having a fireproofing agent, e.g. antimony oxychloride, antimony trichloride, antimony trioxide or antimony trisulphide incorporated therein. The fire-resistant kraft paper sheet may contain one of the above specified antimony compounds. The exemplified vinyl resin is polyvinyl chloride. The sheeting of the invention may be used in forming building ceilings.</p> |
