<p>A system and method are provided for transferring extension code (206) from a first application (204) to a second application (214) via a data file (202). A data file is used on a first application that has extension code associated therewith. The extension code includes logic for enhancing the application. At least a portion of the extension code is saved (210) with the data file. When the data file is opened on a second application, the data file is manipulated using the second application and the logic of the extension code stored with the data file.</p> |
