CHINESE LANGUAGE PINYIN INPUT METHOD AND DEVICE BY NUMERIC KEY PAD

Chinese characters can be input in Chinese Pinyin by using nine numeric keys on a telephone or a remote control. Keys "2" through "9" on a key pad are used and conversion keys are assigned to them when inputting Pinyin symbols, to thereby convert input combinations of Pinyin symbols into Chinese characters or words. Accordingly, difficulties in learning and the number of input key-strokes can be reduced.
