PURPOSE: An air conditioning system is provided, in which a sub air conditioner which serves to discharge cooling air into the passenger compartment without operating an engine is arranged, to thereby allow the driver to use air conditioner without driving the engine and reduce fuel consumption. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioning system comprises a compressor(21) installed in an engine and which increases pressure of a heat exchanging fluid; a condenser(22) connected to the compressor and which cools and liquefies the heat exchanging fluid introduced into the compressor; a main evaporator(23) connected to the condenser and which vaporizes the heat exchanging fluid condensed by the condenser; an expansion valve(24) arranged between the condenser and the main evaporator and which changes the heat exchanging fluid into vapor state; a sub air conditioner unit(30) arranged at the expansion valve and which operates when the engine is not in operation so as to supply cooling air into the passenger compartment; a refrigerant cut-off valve(25) arranged between the condenser and the main evaporator and which cuts off the refrigerant flowing toward the main evaporator; and a control unit(26) connected to the sub air conditioner unit and the refrigerant cut-off valve.
