1281304 Combine harvesters ETABS BRAUD 27 Nov 1970 [27 Nov 1969] 56592/70 Heading AIF A combine harvester has a dressing compartment 12 which comprises fan 13 and seives 12a, b whose output falls on deflector plates 14 which direct the grain to either of conveyors 15 or 21 depending on the position of the hinged flap 22. Figs. 2, 3 show flap 22 arranged so that grain is guided to conveyor 15 whence it travels to elevator 18 and to hoppers 6a, 6b or direct to the outside, e.g. to a lorry. Fig. 4 shows the other possible position of flap 22 whereby grain is guided by plates 14 to conveyor 21 which delivers the grain to barley trimmer 19 whence it travels, as before, to hoppers 6a, 6b or to the outside. When elevator 18 is positioned to deliver grain direct to the outside, the hoppers 6a, 6b may be put in communication with the foot of the conveyor and thus emptied while grain from the dressing apparatus is also being conveyed away. Operation of flap 22 is by rod (31), Fig. 1 (not shown) or rack and pinion, chain and gears or hydraulic ram. (For Figures see next column) |
