The invention relates to an aggregate for mounting a strip or band-shaped edging material (30) comprising a fastening element (32) which is formed thereon. The edging material is mounted on narrow sides of a plate-shaped work piece. Said narrow sides are provided with a groove for the fastening element (32). The inventive aggregate comprises a connecting device (6, 7) which can be inserted in an exchangeable manner in a spindle unit of a machining device, especially a machining center. The aggregate also has an edging material feed device (2) for feeding the edging material to the narrow side of the work piece, a guiding device (4, 13) for the fastening element (32), and has at least one pressure roller (16). The pressure roller is provided for pressing the fastening element (32) into the groove of the work piece and for pressing the edging material against the narrow side of the work piece.
