[Also in Division C3] A pressure-sensitive adhesive tape comprises a polyethylene terephthalate film backing coated with a composition comprising 100 parts by weight of an elastomer and 60 to 140 parts by weight of dipentene in the form of a polydipentene resin having a softening point in the range 10‹ to 160‹C. Suitable elastomers are natural rubber, homopolymers of butadiene, isoprene and isobutylene, and copolymers of butadiene with styrene and isobutylene with isoprene. The compositions may be applied to the backing in a solvent. |
