1307559 Photographic processes AGFAGEVAERT AG 4 Dec 1970 [5 Dec 1969] 57633/70 Heading G2C A photographic process for producing negative visible images which comprises imagewise exposing to light a layer containing an organic compound which splits off iodine free radicals or ions on exposure and a film-forming binder and treating with a compound containing an -0-0- group thus producing a visible image either physically by formation of residues or chemically by carrying out treatment in the presence of reactants for a colour-forming oxidation reaction. The vesicular image may be developed by heating and a mixture of peroxides and hydrazines may be used for its production. Specified reactants for the colour-forming reaction are amino, hydroxy or amino hydroxy aryl compounds, leuco dyes and silver halide colour developers with colour couplers.
