The bin is releasably locked to a pole. Up to four individual containers (1) can be fixed to the pole, to surround it. The rear walls (9) of each container are divided in the middle and hinged to the front wall (11) and have a recess in adjacent edges for a bracket (8). Special locking hooks engage the recess. Two parallel spring-biased slides (17) under the base (12) of the container engage corresponding bores in the rear wall parts. Two connecting rods (20) connected at the ends of the slide, which are connected at their other end to the rear wall parts, press the rear wall parts by operating the slide.
