Removing deposits from water distribution systems, useful e.g. for regenerating wells, using dissolving solution of reducing agent and complexing agent

Removal of deposits (A) for water-conveying systems or water supply devices (or components of them) comprises dissolving (A) in an aqueous solution (B) containing: (i) a reducing agent (I); and (ii) a complexing agent (II) that either contains phosphonic acid or phosphonate groups or is of the hydroxyacid type. The solution containing dissolved (A) is then discharged.
