OIL-DEGRADING MICROORGANISM AND UTILIZATION THEREOF

A novel microorganism which is safe to the ecology and organisms and capable of degrading various oils such as mineral oils, animal oils and vegetable oils. More particularly speaking, an oil-degrading microorganism belonging to the genes Halmonas and being capable of degrading oils. Agents for processing oils with the use of this microorganism or its variant; and a method of processing oils or materials containing oils (waste oils) with the use of the microorganism or the processing agents.
