The toilet seat/lid unit (2,4) is swivel mounted to the rear of the toilet bowl (6) as usual by the insertion of vertical bolts (10) into the holes provided at the ceramic part (6). For a quick and easy removal the seat (2,4) is additionally equipped with a horizontal shaft (14) at the lower side of its rear, resting on two bolts, accommodated in vertical positioned bearing shells (12), which can be easily taken off by lifting or being slid to one side.
