Composite cutting off and edgeing machine - for transformer sheet manufacture

Cutting off and edging metal sheet in one single composite operation. The knibbling machine and the edging machine are each mounted on separate slides spring-loaded in the working direction, both of then resting on another common slide which is moved into the work. By mounting each machine on its own slide slight difference in the rate of working of the two machines can be accommodated, an automatic cut-out switch being provided in case of the edging machine tending to approach the nibbling machine too closely. The above machine is particularly useful for the manufacture of transformer sheet where the sheet is cut off a coil of the material.
