The freewheel and clutch mechanism has an annulus or cogwheel (10) attached to one shaft which cooperates with driven components (20) on a second shaft . Each of these cooperates with more than one tooth and transmits rotary motion to a transmission pin (21). Each driven component is mounted in a guide slot (12) containing a guide pin (22) so that the angle of rotation is limited and release from the individual teeth is made smoother.
