As shown, the apparatus comprises a drum 1 having a photo-conductive surface, charging device 2, exposure device 3 capable of alternately projecting right and wrong reading images, dry development device 4 and transfer belt 5 of dielectric material. Transfer on to opposite sides of a sheet 9 from drum 1 and belt 5 is effected by means of corotrons 6 and 11 resp. Fixing is then effected by heat.
