The invention relates to a toilet device, especially for bedridden people. The inventive device comprises a lower shell (20). The upper surface of said shell is embodied, having a support surface (45; 80, 82) which encloses an opening (30) for receiving the stool and urine of a person that is situated on the lower shell, in such a way that a first sealing line section is produced between the person and the lower shell, whereby said section extends from the inner side of one buttock over the coccyx area of lower back area to the inner side of the remaining buttock. An upper shell (22) can be arranged on the lower shell and is formed in such a way that second and third sealing line sections are produced in a transitional area between the lower shell and the upper shell (22) linked therewith and in the area of the upper inner sides of the thighs or the lower trunk area, whereby said second and third sections join the first sealing line section. A fourth sealing line section joins said second and third sections. The fourth section extends from one side of the lower trunk area over the pubic bone area or lower abdomen area to the remaining side of the lower trunk area.
