Production of grid-shaped coatings on textiles, comprises, comprise the grid-shaped application of a barrier layer-forming paste and the subsequent scattering of adhesive powder and removal of excess powder. The paste is squeezed into the indentations of a printing roll (1) or into the perforations of a stencil. A squeegee (3) for the paste is located on the outside of the roll and the paste is introduced into the indentations of an unheated printing roll (1) with a rubber-coated counter roll (2).
