PURPOSE: A device for managing a power of a Java MCU(power managing unit) is provided to save a power by managing a power effectively using a power managing unit. CONSTITUTION: A pico-Java core(31) processes a Java byte code directly. An interrupt controller(32) generates an interrupt using the pico-Java core(31) the state thereof is a stand-by mode and makes a wake-up state when an interrupt request signal is inputted. A power managing unit(33) controls a power of the pico-Java core(31) in accordance with an operation state of an input/output peripheral device for saving a power. When a wake-up signal is inputted, the power managing unit(33) generates an interrupt request signal to the interrupt controller(32). An active monitor checks an operation status of the input/output peripheral device. If a state of the active monitor is a normal mode, a clock control unit supplies a system clock. If a state of the active monitor is a stand-by mode, the clock control unit supplies a gating CLK for gating system clocks and performing a stand-by of the input/output peripheral device. A mode control unit controls the active monitor as a normal mode or a stand-by mode in accordance with a state of the active monitor.
