A connector element (4) is guided displaceable in each individual rectangular metal plate (1). The plates are formed open on at least one end side so that the connector element can be telescopically guided in the open side. The connector element can be attached to a support structure such as wall (10) or support (11) and the ceiling plate can be moved on the connector element. After assembly a fastener can be attached to prevent further displacement between connector element and plate.
