The invented electric heating body, for injection moulding or injection tools, comprises a metallic jacketed tube (2) in which a heating conductor (3) is embedded in insulating material, whereby the jacketed tube (2) is in the form of a corrugated hose. The corrugated hose forming the jacketed tube (2) consists of adjoining segments formed by annular elements (10) of U-shaped cross-section disposed side-by-side to form a slot and joined at their free ends by especially rounded bridge portions (11).
