The vibration damping device has a fastening assembly(1a,1b) consisting of two spaced apart baseplates between which are installed paired coil springs(2a,2b) in which are fitted cylindrically constructed elastomer guide elements(3a-3d). The guide elements by their ends facing the corresponding baseplate are glued to the latter. Two guide elements are provided per spring and align with one another while maintaining a defined gap(5a,5b) of predetermined size in the middle plane between the baseplates.
