PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of selecting output object images in a conventional system, where an image input device and an image output device are connected directly to attain a direct output, because already outputted image and those which are not cannot be discriminated. SOLUTION: In a system, where a digital camera 101 and a printer 107 are connected directly by an interface based on the IEEE 1394 standards, the management section 105 of the digital camera 101 manages the number of printing by the printer 107 by each file stored in a storage section 104. Then a display section 102 displays print number information by each image file or the printer 107 prints out the information.
