PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable catheter guide wire which takes advantage of a high flexibility and a torque transferring property of a Ti-Ni alloy. SOLUTION: This catheter guide wire has a core wire 2 made of a Ti-Ni alloy wire. When stress is applied by tension at 30 deg.C and 40 deg.C, the strain of the core wire 2 always increases as stress increases in a stress-strain curve with stretch (strain) of 5%, and as soon as stress is released, the core wire 2 returns to completely normal. |
