PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent white balance correction to an object in a chromatic color from all the more causing unnatural color correction and to correctly control color tone by preventing an RB gain from being locked, even when the color of a light source is changed rapidly or an object is changed to cause a rapid changes in the color of a reflected light. SOLUTION: An RB gain denoted by a point M on a cross line between an area consisting of points within a prescribed distance from a straight line 'ON' and a border line closest to a point N among border lines within the RB gain movable range is used for a new RB gain.
