PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a folding container which can be reliably folded even if a height of left and right side plates on a long side is formed to be longer than a half length in a short side of a base plate. SOLUTION: A height of a left side plate 40 and a right side plate 50 is formed to be longer than a half of a length in a short side direction of the base plate 10. First and second left folds 11, 12 are terminated at a position lower by a predetermined size H1 than an upper side 40a of the left side plate 40. The folds 11, 12 are separated into a center piece 41 and both triangular pieces 42 by vertical cuts 11b, 12b extending from their terminal ends 11a, 12a to the upper side 40a of the left side plate 40. First and second right folds 13, 14 are terminated at a position lower by the predetermined size H1 than an upper side 50a of the right side plate 50. The folds 13, 14 are separated into a center piece 51 and both triangular pieces 52 by vertical cuts 13b, 14b extending from their terminal ends 13a, 14a to the upper side 50a of the right side plate 50.
