PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily open and close, and fix a large tail gate. SOLUTION: Sliders 8 are mounted on front edges of left and right arms 4 of a tail gate 2, and guided by guide rails 5. Flange-shaped engagement parts 9 are mounted on front edges of the sliders 8, vertically rotatable hooks 11 are pulled by spring members 14, and the engagement parts 9 are pressed to stoppers 6 by claw parts 12 of the hooks 11 to fix the tail gate 2. The two hooks 11 are connected by means of wires 15, 16 in the rotating directions opposite to each other, and levers 17 are connected to the hooks 11 through links, so that the operation of the hooks 11 connected by the links and the operation of the hooks 11 connected with the hooks 11 by the wires are synchronized in operating the levers 7, simultaneously the sliders 8 are unlocked, and the tail gate 2 is rotated and fallen down. Surfaces opposite to the pressing surfaces of the claw parts 12 are tapered, and the tail gate 2 is pushed up by the sliders 8 and automatically locked thereafter, when it is closed.
