PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent any diagonal screwing and screw dropping, and reliably tighten a screw. SOLUTION: A screw tightening apparatus comprises a screw rotating driver 6 fixed to a base 1 with a bit directed upward, a table 4 which is vertically movable above the screw rotating driver 6 and has a bit advancing hole 4b in which the bit is advanced, a screw holding part 15a which is positioned on the table 4 to hold a screw 20 with a screw head part 20a downside, a parts holding part 15b to hold a parts 21 above the screw holding part 15a in a condition where a screw forming part 20b of the screw 20 is inserted in a screw insertion hole 21a, and a fitting body holding part 16 to hold a fitting body 22 with the parts 21 tightened thereto above the parts holding part 15b, and a parts positioning member 13 with a bit insertion hole 15d opened in which the bit is advanced, and a work pressing part 12d which is provided on the base 1 in the vertically movable manner above the table and capable of pressing the fitting body 22 from the upper side are provided on the lower side of the screw holding part 15a.
