PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a granular animal excrement-treating material which has good properties for absorbing and retaining urine excreted from animals, can wrap the excrement in a lump-like shape, can easily be taken out, be burnt and can effectively recycle waste woods and waste plastics generated at building sites at a low cost without using paper pulp, paper products, or the like. SOLUTION: This animal excrement-treating material is characterized by comprising granules formed from a mixture which comprises a waste wood crushed product consisting mainly of fibrous waste wood granules and a waste plastic crushed product having a granule size of <=5 mm and an adhesive in a smaller amount than that of the waste wood crushed product. Since the granules are formed from the waste material, the waste plastics and the adhesive, the material cost is low.
