PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stationary induction apparatus which is improved in reliability by a method wherein a magnetic flux is prevented from leaking out from a winding and a lead wire, a loss is prevented from increasing on the inner wall of a tank, and it is restrained from rising locally in temperature. SOLUTION: A stationary induction apparatus has such a structure in which a transformer body is housed in a tank, and a high-voltage lead wire and a low-voltage lead wire are led out from a winding. A magnetic shield is arranged on the inner wall of the tank where the high-voltage lead wire is led out, the low-voltage lead wire is made to rise up along the inner wall of the tank, and a composite shield where a non-magnetic shield and a magnetic shield are mixedly present is arranged in the lengthwise direction on the inner wall of the tank to cause a short circuit.
