OPTICAL DISK RECORDER SUITABLE FOR SEAMLESS REPRODUCTION, REPRODUCING DEVICE AND RECORDING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recorder, a reproducing device and a recording method that can readily realize seamless reproduction as to video objects recorded in real time, before and after each pause and discriminates whether seamless reproduction is available before the reproduction of the video objects. SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of a pause-release instruction, the optical disk recorder generates a video object which is generated immediately before it, a video object available of seamless reproduction and records them onto an optical disk. Furthermore, in the case that the video object and a video object immediately before are reproduced sequentially, a seamless flag SML- FLG denoting whether the seamless reproduction is available is generated and recorded in a VOB-TYPE in management information.
