APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING DISCHARGE IGNITION BY USING MICROCOMPUTER

PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling the discharge ignition is provided to ignite a vehicle at an optimum ignition time by calculating/treating the optimum ignition time in a real time. CONSTITUTION: A discharge ignition control apparatus comprises a microcomputer(20), an ignition voltage generating section(30), and an ignition control section(80). The microcomputer(20) receives a power through a key switch(3) and generates an ignition voltage generating signal and an ignition control signal so as to control the ignition. The ignition voltage generating section(30) outputs a high voltage pulse as an ignition voltage. The ignition control section(80) controls a gate of SCR based on the ignition control signal of the microcomputer(20). The ignition control section(80) intermittently control the primary coil of an ignition coil(91) so as to drive an ignition plug(90).
