PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cutting a circular jellyfish with a small diameter, which is not usually considered as a high-grade jellyfish in spite of being equivalent to a high-grade one in the quality of meat, in order to grade up the jellyfish so as to be treated as a high-grade one through cutting the jellyfish into slices. SOLUTION: This method for cutting a jellyfish comprises a step of non- linearly cutting a nearly circular non-cut jellyfish usually not considered as a high-grade one so as to form a thin belt-like shape having a length longer than the diameter of the circular jellyfish so that longer slices of jellyfish to be treated as a high-grade one can be obtained to be dished up in a spongy and presentable appearance, which have been unable to be provided through the conventional guillotine-cutting method, even though the diameter of the non-cut jellyfish is not large enough to be treated as a high-grade one. |
