PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a substance which can activate the differentiation of an osteoclast, the life prolongment of an osteoclast, and the bone resorption ability by an osteoclast. SOLUTION: DNA which encodes a polypeptide capable of activating the differentiation of an osteoclast, the life prolongment of an osteoclast, and the bone resorption ability by an osteoclast, and hybridizes to the base sequence represented by sequence 1 (the detailed structure, refer to the corresponding specification) under the stringent condition, and a method for activating the differentiation of an osteoclast, the life prolongment of an osteoclast, and the bone resorption ability by an osteoclast, a medicinal composition containing the DNA, and a method for activating the differentiation of an osteoclst, the life prolongment of an osteoclast, and the bone resorption ability by an osteoclast are provided. |
