PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer which allows an input operator of printing information to acquire a recording medium in which the printing information about input operation of himself is recorded by himself without making the printing information to be observed by others. SOLUTION: Locking mechanism 54 is provided between the printer 50 body and a cover 53b. The lock mechanism 54 locks the printer so that the cover 53b becomes at a closed state by the input of a predetermined command signal and unlocks the printer so that the cover 53b is at an opened state by the input of another command signal. The printer 50 starts a printing processing to recording paper (recording medium) P and simultaneously locks the locking mechanism 54 according to the input operation to respective computers 2a to 2c. The sheet of recording paper P the printing of which are completed are successively piled up in a storage part 53. The operator releases locking by the locking mechanism 54 by inputting password data in an operation panel 51 and takes out the recording paper P on which the printing is performed.
