CALKING STRUCTURE OF METAL PLATE AND KEYBOARD BASED ON THE CALKING STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide calking structure which can be easily assembled and designed by joining two metal plates and joining upper and lower metal plates to be used for a frame of a keyboard by calking and making the surfaces of the calking part flush. SOLUTION: In the metal plate calking structure constituted of forming a through hole on one metal plate, forming a projection on the other metal plate, fitting the protrusion with the through hole and plastically deforming and calking the top part of the protrusion, the peripheral edge of the surface side end of the through hole is formed in a taper so that the plastically deformed surface of the protrusion is made flush with the surface of one metal plate. In the keyboard provided with a frame unified by joining the upper metal plate for arranging keys with the lower metal plate for reinforcement and heat dissipation, the upper metal plate is joined with the lower metal plate by fitting the protrusion formed on the lower metal plate with the through hole formed on the upper metal plate and calking the top part of the protrusion by plastically deforming it.
