PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent image by preventing defective transfer regardless of the feeding state of transfer paper in an image forming device by means of an electrophotographic process using a noncontact transfer roller for a photoreceptor drum. SOLUTION: The point of time when the last end of the transfer paper 15 is separated from a transfer guide 28 on an upper side and the feeding state is changed is estimated from the time when the back end of the transfer paper 15 passes through a paper sensor 64, so that a transfer current applied to the transfer roller 350 is corrected by controlling a transfer current circuit 370.
