PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a duplicating recording of same object information within a prescribed time from a previous recording based on the history monitoring of duplicating control information, to indicate the above operation to a user so that the user clearly recognizes it and to appropriately and clearly conduct the control of duplication operation history such as copyright protection. SOLUTION: When a high speed recording operation is instructed by an operating section 8, copyright information is read from a CD by a reading section 2 and the information is taken into a CPU 3. When the copyright information stored in a memory 4 and the copyright information read from the CD are matched with each other, the CPU 3 displays the remaining time of the prohibition time on a display section 7 and prohibits a high speed recording process of the duplicate. When the copyright information is read by the CPU 3 and the information agrees with the information stored in the memory 4, it indicates that a high speed dubbing operation is conducted for the same CD during the prescribed prohibition time immediately before the high speed recording operation of the duplicate. Therefore, the remaining time of the prohibition time of the high sped dubbing of the same CD is informed by the section 7. |
