Trawler towing gear comprises a carriage 4 dependent from the arm 6 of the tow hook and an arcuate rail 2 on which the carriage moves on its wheels 1. Brake discs 9 with linings 10 are mounted on a side of the axis 3 of the wheels and are operated from the command post of the trawler to arrest the movement of the carriage. The embodiment shown has two pairs of brakes each pair being aligned along a radius of the rail.</p> |
