PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute the reading of reference value data even in the case of collecting the reference value data required for correction processing concerning picture data every time the reading operation of the picture data is executed. SOLUTION: In this picture reader constituted to move scanning units 3 and 4 along an original platen 1 to transform reflected light obtained from an original on the platen 1 to an electric signal by the moving and to execute prescribed correcting processing to the transformed electric signal based on the reference value data collected in advance, the moving start position of the units 3 and 4 and the collecting position of the reference value data are matched with each other. |
