PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection bag for the head part of an automobile occupant that inflates smoothly without generating locally excessive stresses, with the required bag strength reduced. SOLUTION: The bag 1 has a main air duct 7 and a cushion part 8 both formed between both seats 2 and 3 by making the seats 2 and 3 overlie each other and connecting them together by means of a linear connection and an annular connection. The cushion part 8 has an upper cell 8a leading to the main air duct 7 along a straight line, a side cell 8b leading to the upper cell 8a and extending downwardly at the rear of the cushion part 8, a lower cell 8c leading to the side cell 8b and extending forwardly at the underside of the bag, and an intermediate cell 8d. The front and rear of the cushion part 8 are formed into curtain parts 10 and 11, respectively. |
