PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a fault caused in a broadcast network, to automatically recover a fault in a transmitter and to automatically store a reception log of received data. SOLUTION: An EPG data generating section 101 in the data broadcast system 100 generates EPG data, multiplexes the EPG data with A/V data via an EPG data storage transmission server (active system) 103, a multiplexer section 106, and a transmission section 107 and transmits the multiplexed data to a broadcast network 108. A reception section 112 of an EPG data monitor 111 receives data via the broadcast network 108, the EPG decoder section 113 decodes the data, the EPG data storage section 114 stores the decoded data, an EPG data monitor section 115 compares the EPG data via the broadcast network 108 with the EPG data via an information system LAN 115, informs the data broadcast system 100 of their being m disagreement, and allows a server changeover section 102 to select an EPG data storage transmission server (standby system) 104. |
